[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;] olivia sophia thorne liv . 16 . female . heterosexual . mortal/oracle of deplphi appearance: hair~ wavy, and yet curly, light blonde hair that falls just past the shoulders with short, sidesweepbacngs that slide to the left (facing her.) there isn't one specific style Liv clings to and she styles it differently everyday depending on how she's feeling. sometimes she pulls a flat irone through it for hours, sometimes, she lets it hang natural, and sometimes Liv just gets sick of her hair in general and puts it up in a high bun. she has a few feather extensions that compliment her eyes, the color of her hair, and go with any style she decides. eyes~ liv has sparkling green eyes with hints of gold and gray in them, surrounded by long, light colored eyelashes and generally only a hint of eyeliner here and there. these are the kind of eyes that say 'this person is sweet' and the kind of eyes you could stare in for hours, wondering what the mind behind them was thinking. they are not too big, but not small either. face~ she has a heart shaped face with a button-like nose and a clear complexion. liv has no freckles and she is rather pale in comparison to most of her peers. she likes to wear earrings, mostly cubic-zarconium studs or peacock feathers. when she isn't smiling her her beautiful smile that had braces for 6 years previously, a thoughtful look is found on her face as if she were contemplating something of extreme importance. but when she is smiling, it lights of her face and eyes, making the finally touches of the overall attractivness of her face. build~ liv is long and tall, with a somewhat bony and hourglassy build. her fingers are long, like a pianists or an artists- adept to holding a pencil or playing the musical keys. liv is 5'9" feet tall and 116 lbs, oddly light for her age. she could be considered willowy as well, tall and light. people enjoy picking her up and carrying her around because her weight is distributed so she seems very light. style~ girly- flowy clothes, ruffled blouses, flower patterns, pencil skirts, skinny jeans with sandals, denim shorts with pantyhose and saddle shoes, pastel colors, creams and roses, head bands around the forehead-pressing down the bags, usually with feathers hanging from it, glasses on occasion, leather boots, canvas shoes, feathered things and flowers are often found in this artistic style. overall~ liv is considered attractive, but in a very feminine and girly way. she is not 'sexy' or appealing in any sexual sort of way. her smile makes others happy and her giggle makes others laugh. at a glance, liv is artsy, girly, intelligent, and sweet. face claim: reese whitherspoon personality: sweet~liv often thinks more about others than herself- which is hard not to do if you are constantly spouting off other's futures. she cares about the people she prophecies for, and even more so if they are her friends. thoughtful~ thinking is liv's specialty. she likes to really think through a desicion before she makes it, as well as think through what others have done with her around or what people have said. worrier~ liv has always been a worrier. when her parents would go on dates when she was little, she would worry they wouldn't come back. when she was in elementry school, she worried about grades, making her an excellent student by the time she reached high school. and, she always worries about those who have been cursed, or blessed, with a prophecy from her own mouth. poetic~ this artist can keep a rhythm and find words to rhyme with anything. she loves to write poetry- especially haikus, and loves to find large words to use in poems to describe small things. loveable~ when one is around liv, they want to hug her or pinch her cheeks. when liv is sad, one wants to comfort her to make her feel better, to cheer her up and see her smile again. people generally love liv, and they like to take care of her. pacifist~ liv...doesn't enjoy fighting. she's never minded action movies or stories about fighting, but when it's happening in front of her, she wants more than anything for it to stop. this could've possibly stemmed from her parents fighting when she was young, or the fact that she knows one day her own words will kill someone, but she hates fighting. hates it. weak~ not only does liv not want to fight, she couldn't do it to save her life. she may be able to flee, but unfortunately, she cannot weild a sword with skill because it is to heavy, tires quickly is working out, and has weak, tired muscles that ache forever afterwards. she is someone you would want to defend rather than have fighting with you. likes: hera, daydreaming, naps, peacocks, piano, poetry, theatre, interpreting dreams, and reading & writing dislikes: school, ares, conspiracy theories, heights, phyciatrists, and uber geniuses. strengths: writing, understanding things, and patience. weaknesses: fire, cooking, and killing. fears: death of others by her own hand, heights, and torture. fatal flaw: worrisome~ liv cares too much about everyone and it worries her to a point of anxiety and stress if someone she loves is out of her reach weapons: olivia does not carry a weapon, rather a pencil and notebook. magical items: none hometown: atlanta, georgia parents: phillip thorne and elizabeth thorne sibling(s): none other: none pet(s): legolas, a creamy white guinea pig with black beady eyes and a pink nose. history: Phillip Thorne and Elizabeth Williams met at a book signing of their favorite author in college. As a bookworm would know, these events are very long and you wind up become friends with the people around you to pass time. Except Phillip and Elizabeth didn't just become friends. They had an attraction for eachother, and continued to meet after the book signing. Eventually, their relationship became closer, and they got married. 3 years later, Olivia was born. The day of her birth was not a very oppertune time for the couple as they were experiencing their first real fight in their marriage. Liv grew up with the sound of yelling and arguing in rooms away as a child, and eventually began to learn to entertain herself. She would daydream of warriors fighting monsters, romances and betrayals amongst these heros, and some deaths as well. When she grew older, she told her mother these stories and Elizabeth Thorne grew increasingly concerned for her daughter. So, one day, she took her to a shrink. This shrink tried to dive into Olivia's brain and she hated him with all her heart. She would right poems about greek mythology while he would talk to her mom, and read the books from the library she had checked out about the olympian gods and goddesses. She was facsinated with them, and the Thornes were told it was just a phase. it wasn't. When Liv got into high school, she began to use greek mythology to help her with her studies, especially Hera. She had little stories for vocabulary she need to learn- like heresy. (zeus would not help the greek housewife, and so she would cry "Hera- see?!" and was commiting heresy.) The Thorne's let it go, deciding the could do a lot worse with a daughter. Eventually, Elizabeth and Phillip got into a bad fight and seperated, Elizabeth taking Olivia across the atlantic to London. They lived here until Olivia was 13 and they discovered her father was killed in a break-in. Elizabeth Thorne was not the same after this, and Liv learned to take care of herself. She even became friends with a few boys at school. One day, 3 years later, two boys by the names of Anthony and Roger transferred in from America. They seemed to be hiding from something, to have something special about them. Olivia noticed that Anthony loved to be in the water, all the time, and he could stay underwter much longer than she could. He reminded her of a hero from one of her old daydreams, and she began to look in her greek mythology books. Meanwhile, Anthony and Roger realized Liv's potential and told her what they really were- a saytr and a demi-god. Liv was surprised to know that the fantasy world she cherished and dreamed about was really exsistant. She was most excited to hear about Hera and the Camp and wanted to see it with all her heart. But before she could leave, Anthony and Roger got into a battle with a monster, which killed Roger. Anthony, after Roger died, sprinted to Olivia's house and rushed her away, getting her on a plane as quickly as possible and taking her to Camp Half-Blood. There, she told Mr.D about her visions she'd grown up with, and shared some of hre poems she had written about them. As it turned out, these were all prophecies she had become true, including a more recent one in which 'and hades will welcome the hero's friend, and he would never been sen on earth again.' Liv decided, with the help of Chiron, Mr.D, and Anthony, that it was safer to stay at camp than to return home to her mother. So, she wrote her mother a letter, lying- saying she had returned to the states to go to a prostiegious boarding school, and remained at camp, never knowing if her mother knew or cared where she was. Liv is stoll close to Anthony to this day, and she is constantly reminded that it was her words that killed his best friend. rp sample: see kaiden activity: I'm on pretty often, though mostly on the weekends and breaks. I can be on more because I can get on the computers at school. rationale: I don't think deserve is the right word. I think I'd be one of the best people to make the prophecies, seeing as I have done it before, and I would have aquite a jolly time doing it too (I've gotta have something to do when I'm bored in chemistry) sample prophecy: (previously used but...) horse and harvest will help the dismayed and seek out for what has been lost the odd one out will lead the way down past body rot. daughter of wheat will clear the way while child of earthquake gives away and four will join to pick the food that will frighten time away ~this prophecy was used in an old plot where mnemosyne was stealing people's memory. four people were going on a quest, two daughters of posiedon and two children of demeter- hence the horse and harvest. They were seeking out the three great things of power for Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. There were demi-god working for Mnemosyne, children of kronos, who were working against them. When the time to pick the leader came- Nick, aka Nectar, was selected because he was the odd one out- the only boy quester. he was to lead the way to the Underworld to return the Helm of Darkness to Hades, thus 'past all body rot'. Frankie, a daughter of Demeter, was to clear the way through the fields of asdophel because it was littered with corn crop no one cared for, and Lin, a daughter of Poseidon, would sacrifice what little memories she had left of herself (mnemosyne really took a toll on her) to cross the river that takes your memories if you do not cross correctly, or it could give you invinscibility. This would be by force from James, the son of the time god, because she knew too much at one point. But she would be okay. Then, the time would come to fight James to get the Helm of darkness back to return it to Hades so part of the war would stop. The questers would have to choose between nick, aka Nectar, and Amy, aka Ambrosia, on who would go fight James and scare him away (choose the food that will frighten time away). They would then discover, after he had left, that he had all the items of power, and they would return them to Zeus, Poseidon, and hades, thwarting his plan to aid Mnemosyne.
