[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;] maddox apollon corbeau madd . seventeen . male . heterosexual . demigod child of Apollo, god of music, poetry, plague, oracles, sun, medicine, light and knowledge appearance: The first thing you notice as Maddox Corbeau walks by is the way he looks like the sun is chasing after him. There never seems to be a dark spot on him despite his warm brown hair being many shades darker than his mother's. It just reflects the sun off it making it seem so brilliant and light. His hair matches well with his eyes too, a medium blue color much like the color of the deep sea after a rain storm. He got the eyes from his mom, but he got the skin from his father. Despite his mother being European and very pale, Maddox was always one to be able to stay completely tan despite the fact that it was the middle of winter. Just the slightest bit of sun on his skin and his tan will stay the same golden color as it was in the middle of the summer. Not that Maddox has any complaints about it though. Maddox is also pretty muscular, especially in the upper torso. He guesses it's from all the archery he does that has him so toned up there, now if only he could say the same for his stomach. Unfortunately his abular area is softer than the rest of his torso, but not so much that he looks chubby. He just has a layer of lazy fat over his abs. He supposes he should work on that more, a goal he plans to work on over the course of the summer. But despite the marshmallow tummy, that's not the biggest complaint Maddox has about his body. He really hates his baby face. It's really just around the eyes and nose, but he looks like he's still fifteen, and he's seventeen. It makes the odd scruff he has on his jaw look even weirder. All in all Maddox looks pretty average, tan, brown hair, muscular but with some softness, and he's just about under six feet. face claim: jeremy irvine personality:
likes: Snakes, soccer, muppet movies, Edgar Allen Poe writings, horses, archery, the sun, racing, food dislikes: sickness, people bad mouthing his mother, being more active than he has to be, people asking if he's gay because of his French heritage (the nerve of some people, really), baseball, sweet things, the cold strengths: clever, good natured, friendly weaknesses: arrogant, easily angered, defensive fears: his mother being hurt, himself when he gets angry, frogs fatal flaw: a person could say that Maddox is too overprotective of the people he cares about, like his mother for one. He refuses to let anyone come near his mother as long as he's around because he's afraid that they will hurt her like his father hurt her all those years ago. He supposes he got this trait from his father, seeing as Apollo was always there to protect his mother Leto. Another person would say that Maddox's fatal flaw would be the fact that Maddox can become terrifying when he's angered. He doesn't really have a restraint on his anger, it just builds up and up and up and then once it reaches it's peak it all comes pouring out. He can't stop it once he's angry, he's gets tunnel vision and see's red, all he can focus on is the one person he's angry at, or who got him angry in that moment. weapons: Bow and Arrows, Bronze Sword when necessary magical items: a lyre, it causes animals to fall asleep when a person plays it. hometown: New Orleans, Lousiana parent: Angelique Corbeau, 35, RN at a major hospital sibling(s): None other: Nope. pet(s): He had a pet snake for a short while, but when his mom discovered it she freaked and made him give it up. history: describe their past - how their parents met, what their childhood was like, how they got to camp half blood, etc. minimum word count: 200 words rp sample: Colin was a little surprised when the nurse smiled at him, which caused him to frown slightly. Why was she smiling at him, most of the people who saw him simply raised their eyebrows, not expecting a guy like him to be in a summer camp. Even if he had the money growing up to come to a camp like this, Colin wouldn't be here anyway. It wasn't him, and he would feel uncomfortable being here for any other reason than work. Colin lifted a thin hand to run through his dark hair as he kept the screen door from slamming, he didn't need a headache to go with his burnt shoulders. "Do you have anything for a sunburn?" he asked, his voice deep. It contrasted against hers, which sounded very light. If Colin hadn't been looking at her he would have known that she was smiling because of her voice. She simply sounded like she was smiling, and she seemed the type to smile easily. Colin didn't know many people like that, they were very few and not many of them were very clever. But this girl was a nurse so she had to be smart. Smarter than him at least, he didn't even know if there was anything a person could do about a sunburn except wait for it to go away. Colin reached over his shoulder, pressing his fingers down onto his sunburn and pulling. It somehow relieved the itching sensation the sunburn had whenever it wasn't being irritated, it gave a long and dull, painful sensation as he pulled on his skin through the thin material of his shirt. It wasn't much better than just leaving it alone, but if he scratched at it Colin was pretty sure it would hurt a hell of a lot worse. Colin always had a problem with scratching at his injuries, it just irritated so he would scratch at it. If he got injured back in the city one of the girls would bandage him up with an old shirt no one wore and would hit him if she ever caught him scratching at his wound. He missed being in the city, being around his people and being able to do things on his own. Being here was suffocating, it had such a happy atmosphere, like nothing waas wrong with the world. Colin had seen everything that was wrong with the world, and this place was just pretending everything was alright. Campfires and arts and crafts, canoeing and sports, no one was worried about what they would do for food the next day, if they could get what they needed in time, if anyone would die of starvation or hypothermia before the sun rose. Colin worried constantly when he was away, he had left the most responsible elder kids in charge, but he still worried. He called them on Fridays to a pay phone. They had rigged that particular pay phone to work for free calling and receiving, they needed it for some of Colin's work. He told them not to call him, but the younger children missed him. He would just get onto them about how they should be working, and then told them he would be back when the summer ended. Summer wasn't a hard month for them, it was winter that always got brutal, but summer was easy. People were careless and they practically let the kids steal their wallets and other items. They wouldn't be desperate for money without him there, they would just lack some discipline... maggie . none . around three years or so . codeword |
