[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;] Lin Mei Wu none . 16 . female . straight . demigod child of poseidon, god of the sea, earth-shaker, storm-bringer, father of horses appearance: Lin is 5’5" tall, has a slim build, and weighs 120 lb. She has black hair and is long. Lin has a heart-shaped face, dark brown almond eyes, a small nose, and pale pink lips. Her skin is lightly tanned and smooth. Lin likes to where clothes that are comfortable and suite what she is about to do and usually wears her hair up. These types of clothes include t-shirts and jean shorts or long jeans. She doesn't care too much about dresses and skirts and likes to avoid them when possible. Under her chin, there is a birthmark that is tear-dropped shaped. Her hands are neither too small nor too big, but slightly rough due to working in her mother’s vegetable garden and her feet are also slightly rough because she likes to walk around some places bare foot. Lin has a pale scar on her back from an accident involving a tree (it hasn’t fully healed yet, but it is very close to). Even though Lin mostly resembles her mother (who is Chinese), she inherited her father’s smile. face claim: Liu Yi Fei personality: Lin is a generally calm person. She takes things as they come and lives by the saying, “Don’t expect much and you won’t be disappointed.” Due to this she is not extremely ambitious unless there is something she really wants. Depending on the day, Lin may look completely relaxed and content while on other days she seems to be considering more serious topics. Regardless of her mood, Lin is an extremely logical person. Some people might consider her bi-polar because Lin may act completely happy with one person and then completely serious with another. To Lin, it is better to have more friends than enemies. She doesn’t often find a person she absolutely dislikes. Even with people whom others find distasteful Lin won’t judge until she has met the person. As a friend, Lin is very reliable and will be there for a friend in need. Sometimes this means Lin becomes a bit over-protective, but it doesn’t become obsessive. Lin has one little habit of involving herself with people who are considered dangerous. She is careful, but she can’t resist poking some fun. Holding grudges is something that Lin is terrible at. Because of her logical standpoint she forgives people a little too easily. This sometimes proves to be troublesome since people then can take advantage of that forgiveness. The only time Lin really can hold a grudge is when someone hurts or does something to someone who is a friend or family member to her. Romance is something that Lin feels and accepts she might never find. She’s not a hopeless romantic, but rather a person who doesn’t find that much interest in it. As a child she used to get crushes, but that was only when she thought someone else had a crush on her. Later on Lin realized that the crushes she had were merely her feeling flattered. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t encourage romance between other people, she merely accepts that she may not find love. Leading and following others is something Lin can do. She claims to rather follow than lead, but if she doesn’t like who’s leading she will take control. Whenever she’s confronted by a person saying that she’s a leader type she always says that she’s not always a leader. likes: swimming, rain, green tea, reading, people (for the most part) dislikes: overly hot weather, carbonated drinks/coffee, cherry-flavored items that aren't cherries, unwanted solitude, close-minded people strengths: sword fighting/martial arts, reading people (emotionally and not always accurate), swimming/anything water-related including controlling it weaknesses: gets lost easily, being yelled at, lying (she can't lie very well) fears: people she cares about dying, being abandoned by her parents, being thrown into Tartarus fatal flaw: lin prioritizes everyone else and would sacrifice herself for them if necessary. weapons: twin bronze swords called Gemini that turn into hair chopsticks magical items: the scabbard of Gemini which guides the person holding it onto a safe path to a safe place and turns into a hair clip shaped like a juniper flower hometown: Baltimore, Maryland parent: Meiyun Wu (mother) sibling(s): none other: none pet(s): Caesar, black cat that lives with her mom history: Lin’s mother lived in Miami when she met Poseidon. She was single and stressed out about work. Throughout her life, she found the sea to be the only thing that could comfort her. That sunny day she saw a man walking towards her. He looked like a fisherman. Lin’s mother talked with him and then eventually she fell in love with him. When Lin was born, her mother moved to Maryland where she raised Lin. Her mother took her to martial arts classes and judo because Poseidon had told her that Lin would eventually be in danger of monsters. Lin had always thought that all that training was just in case of a robber or something. When she was still little and her mother took her to the beach, she saw faces in the water smiling to her, but they always shimmered like they weren’t real. When Lin was in summer school after seventh grade, some strange things happened. A man who looked to her like a classic thug confronted her in an alley after school. When he attacked her, Lin found out it was a Minotaur. Lin barely escaped with bruises and scratches. Her mother immediately sent her away to Camp Half-Blood before any other monsters could attack. During her journey, Lin found she could control water and be healed by it. After she arrived, she has been training very hard and took a specialty to various sword-fighting styles. rp sample: Late nights at work were never fun unless it was meant to be a party. The most boring out of these late work nights could be described in one word. Inventory. As much as Lin loved books, taking inventory late at night was one of the most uninteresting things she had to do. Not only was this job boring, but she also had to also keep track of other staff members who were known to be slackers. The entire staff starting taking inventory as soon as the bookstore closed which was around five in the afternoon, and it took them a good four and a half hours to finish the job. Despite the fact that most of the staff showed up to take inventory, at least half had to leave an hour in because of "important" plans leaving the rest of the staff with more work. It was now extremely late at night now and the streets were still relatively busy. Lin had just finished locking up the shop and was off back to her apartment. Honestly she would have enjoyed this walk a lot more if it were raining. Not really paying attention to where she was going, Lin took some turns that she thought was the right direction to her apartment. While walking she thought of things she needed to do such as picking up some groceries and green tea from the mini-mart near her apartment. By the time Lin took a moment to look around, she realized that she had completely wandered onto unfamiliar streets. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that it was late at night and there were very few people around. Any people that were present in those streets looked like they were part of gangs or some underground business. This was not the ideal situation Lin wanted to be in right now. Any normal person would turn around and try to retrace their steps back the way they came while trying to not look suspicious. However Lin felt that turning around and walking back would make her look lost and therefore vulnerable to any eyes that noticed her. Lin always disliked how she easily became lost and silently hoped that she wouldn't be in any more trouble than what possibly awaited her already as she continued to walk forward. lin . none . 3 years give or take . percy jackson |
