[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px;] Catherine Haley O'Reilly Cat . 17 . Female . Hetrosexual . Demigod child of (Hermes), god of (Travellers, Messengers and Thieves) appearance: In terms of her appearance, Cat is very like her siblings in many ways. For a start, she has got the same crooked smile that comes across every child of Hermes whenever something worthy of the attention of a thief. This item could be anything but as long as it has caught Cat’s eye, you will find this smile across her face. If you’re lucky, you may even get a smudge of sarcasm with her smile. Then you have Cat’s upturned eyebrows and a gleam in her eye (that can usually be traced to any theft, prank or mischievous act). To round off the similarities, all of the facial traits Cat possesses have a distinct sharpness to them. Obviously with having a different mother compared to a lot of her siblings, Cat is also different in her looks. For instance, she wears her hair down past her shoulders and in no way shows signs of curls although in contrast, it is just as black as her father’s. Cat’s eyes are a distinct shade of blue, popping out of a pale complexion. Lastly, Cat stands at 5’10, making her quite tall but yet has a slender build. face claim: Liv Tyler personality: Cat, like a lot of Hermes' children, has a mischievous and sneaky personality. This demigod is quite the pickpocket, although to say kleptomania meant nothing to Cat would be a lie so it's not just the things in your pockets she goes for. She can't help it - if she sees something she likes, then chances are she'll steal it (and with Hermes being her father, it will be long gone before the owner realises). Kleptomania aside, Cat is very proud and it's her fatal flaw. Now it's not like she's constantly rubbing her own glory in people's faces but Cat believes she can do anything (and steal anything for that matter). As a wise goddess once said though, "The most dangerous flaws are those which are good in moderation". Cat is also stealthy and is quite sly: both traits having accumilated from growing up with her cat-burgular of a mother. Not that a mother could teach anything close when your father is the God of Thieves. All that aside, Cat can be quite reasonable, for example as much as she would want to, she knows not to steal the symbol of power of any god (but mainly one of the Big Three). It would be suicide, and if not directly then indirectly through the resulting war. In addition, this demigod can also be quite laid back and sensual, not going to too much trouble unless it was of significant appeal to Cat's desires. likes: [+] Steal things [+] Travelling [+] Lying the sun [+] Occasionally playing pranks [+] Keeping momentos from big thiefts dislikes: [-] Missing out on a chance to steal [-] Getting caught in the middle of a thieft/prank [-] Small spaces [-] Being second fiddle [-] Punk/Heavy Metal music strengths: [+] Stealing [+] Generally being sneaky [+] Art weaknesses: [-] Items there for the taking [-] Her Hubris [-] Lucky Charms cereal fears: [-] (Minor) Claustrophobia [-] Prison [-] Not putting her mark on the world fatal flaw: [-] Pride weapons: [+] A pair of celestial bronze daggers magical items: [-] None hometown: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania parent: Jasmine O'Reilly (Mother | 45) sibling(s): Nestor O'Reilly (Twin | 17 | Child of Hermes) other: None pet(s): A cat called Grizabella history: In the years leading up to the meeting of Cat’s parents, her mother Jasmine was an infamous cat burglar working her way across America. I think that’s probably what attracted Hermes to the woman in the first place, being the basic personification of thieves and all that. They met on route to a quaint old neighbour in Washington where Cat intended to use her skills and swipe some some-to-be stolen possessions. Everything was going to plan until Hermes showed up. Jasmine was completely taken aback – this was a solo mission, Jasmine worked alone which meant that this . . . man was either a competitor or the house owner. This would not normally work out but with anything remotely connected to Hermes’ world, anything is possible. Nine months later (led by a night together), Jasmine was presented with twin girls and little job prospects for her. All for the one guy but life moved on and so did the O’Reillys. In hindsight, Cat has never been totally sure how exactly the family did survive during her toddler years but definitely once the twins were old enough, they were present during robberies. This was especially so once Jasmine started noticing things. Objects were disappearing and reappearing within both Nestor and Cat’s vicinity. Goodbye, long periods of planning and hard work. Hello, easy jobs involving the children. For years, the O’Reillys moved around stealing possessions from people and heading to the next city before they got caught by the local police. The only thing that could possibly spoil this age of criminal prosperity occurred. Having spent so much time with her children, Jasmine developed maternal instincts. She started caring about Nestor and Cat, not to mention their safety. She couldn’t bring the twins out on burglaries but she didn’t have anyway to leave them. At this point Hermes intervened, altering his children’s (and consort’s) lives for ever. Jasmine found a note with just an address on it from the god himself. Not knowing who this was from, Jasmine went on a hunch. She didn’t know what she would find at the address but it may be worth looting so the trio set off for: Camp Half-Blood, Half-Blood Hill, Farm Road 3.141 Long Island, New York 11954 Six years later, Cat and Nestor have been living all year round at Camp Half-Blood whilst their mother gallivants around the country, steeling anything and everything. rp sample: “My liege. Percy Jackson has boarded the ship.” A dark force stirred from within the deeps of the room. He did not like being disturbed . . . but for this, it was an exception. “Excellent,” a voice rang through this particular room of the Princess Andromeda. The young soldier flinched. Never would the sound of a knife scraping stone sound normal. “Notify the Laistrygonian Giants.” Before his master could notice a gap in the conversation, the boy found his voice beyond the lump in his throat, “Yes, my Lord.” Relief came over the boy. He always hated being in the presence of his lord but if things were to go the way they were expected, than everyone on board would be rewarded. “Don’t hurt him.” Surprise came across the Lord of Time. You would think being the King of the Titans would mean that you could possess someone flawlessly. Luke Castellan was a loyal contribution to the greater cause but his inner conflict was both an aid and a hindrance. He left strongly for certain demigods. Speaking of whom, a ‘sea-food dinner’ was making its way through the ship, the very least this titan could do would be to meet it half-way. “Could Luke break free? No. He is but a demigod, something that could only dare dream of beating the strength of a titan,” the Lord of Time thought to himself. Kronos shoved the idea that Luke may be strong enough to fight through his might to the back of his mind and made his way out onto the balcony. Before him, a one Percy Jackson burst out onto the main deck. This particular demi-god would be particularly useful, especially concerning this “dreaded” prophecy. The Son of Poseidon would bring down Mount Olympus. With Kronos’ own manipulation of course. Maybe this new body could be of use. “We’ve been expecting you for days.” Bert .
