Kaiden rushed back to her cabin after saying good-bye to Avie. She grabbed a backpack out from under her bed, one with the zelda logo on it, and then pulled her wallet out from her pants pocket and threw it in. She also tossed her old school I.D., her ipod, pepper spray, and her dagger in a zipped it up. Then, the daughter of Zeus pulled out her favorite shirt out. It was a black v-neck with a giraffe on it that said, in a very large speech bubble, "SWAGG." She also grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and ran into the bathroom. Kaiden showered quickly, not wanting to make Avie wait, dressed and blow dryied her hair into it's usual bigness at the toop and straitened the bottoms. She grabbed a pair of mismatched socks and pulled them on before pulling her red keds on. She put on some eyeliner and mascara, spritzed herself with some body splash, and glanced in the mirror one last time.
Kaiden grabbed her backpack and just before she reached the door, she realized New York was probably freezing this time of year, while Camp Half-Blood was always perfect. She quickly grabbed a gray hooded sweater with "BAYLOR" in green on the front. Then, she swung the backpack over her shoulder and ran out the door. Lucky for her that she was a good runner, because she didn't feel like walking. Kaiden was too excited for this trip to move slowly. So, as she neared the tree, she came running and smiling. She stopped when she reached the tree and smiled brightly at Avie.
"Ready?" she said, then glanced towards the bottom of the hill. Her baby was sitting at the bottom of the hill, waiting to be used.
Kaiden had driven this car up here, and it had stayed since. It was an SUV, a hundai santa-fe 2004 four she'd bought awhile back with her own money when she'd visited San Diego last. The sight of it's shiny black exterior made Kaiden smile even wider, if that was possible. She was excited to drive into town. That way they wouldn't freeze to death. But as she walked towards it, she realized that Mr.D might've done something to it to make it not run. Kaiden climbed into the front seat, turned the key and...nothing. She looked at the gas meter when it was on though- it seemed Mr.D had siphoned her gas.
"Dammit!" Kaiden mumbled, pulling out her key. So she would need to walk into town, buy gas, and come back? That would take too long. Maybe on the way back. Kaiden turned to Avie. "Looks like we're walking."
notes;; walkings fun anyways

Avie finally made it to the top of Thalia's hill, sitting down at the base of her tree, leaning his back up against the rather rough bark. He faced out towards the camp, feeling like a guardian as he watched over it, and smiled to himself. Despite how much he could loathe this place, it was rather lovely. If only humans could see it. They would probably claim it as their land, and make it just as bad as the rest of their world.
Half-bloods are human.
...No they aren't.
The child of Ares kept an eye out for Kaiden, looking up at the sky. It was rather a nice day - at least, in the boundaries -, though he could tell it would be cold. The winds weren't that bad, though there were enough winds to call them winds, and it was gradually growing darker and darker by the minute. Perhaps because it was already winter. That just made everything all the more fun and exhilarating. It was going to be dark by the time Avie even planned on turning and heading back here.
...Of course, it would be rather dangerous with a child of the big-hey, is that a raven?
Avie's attention perked up when suddenly he spotted a raven flying above him, circling around in the sky as if it found prey and were determining whether to swoop down and snatch it up. The seventeen year old watched with a rather wide grin. Despite being allergic to every animal out there - which made him hate them all the more -, he liked to watch birds. Because birds were free to do whatever, whenever, however. Avie sometimes wished that he was part of a culture that believed in rebirth, so that way he could be reborn into a bird...
He watched as the shamelessly black bird stopped circling and instead flew away from the hill, down towards the forest. Probably to make a nest, or something. Though, did it know about the boundaries of camp? It had to, because it was not gone south...
...Hey, why didn't that bird land up in a tree? Why did it land on the ground next to a tree?
Avie's bright green eyes squinted, trying to find the bird within the dark shade of the tree. Finally, he found it...
...Hey, was that a child?
Avie gasped, instantly getting up on his knees, narrowing his eyes more so that he could look more at what he believed to be seeing. Yes, it was a child! Though... it may have not been a child. They certainly looked older than a child, whoever they were. And it was obviously a male...
The bird had flown back to it's master, Avie realized with a shudder of excitement, eyebrows raising as he looked some more.
But then he heard footsteps approaching, and he knew that Kaiden was approaching. Even so, he didn't take his eyes away from the child he saw underneath the tree.
That smirk.
Avie witnessed the child smirk - how he saw from here, the green eyed male had no clue - and he blinked quickly, not wanting to miss the kid.
But the kid was gone when he opened his eyes.
"Ready?" Came Kaiden's voice, and he glanced up at her from his spot on the ground, and let out a low breath. He... was going insane. He really was going insane. There was a kid underneath a tree one moment, and the next, he wasn't there.
...Maybe Avie's mind was trying to tell himself something.
"Yeah," he mumbled, standing up, stumbling after the daughter of Zeus. He had to practically run to catch up with her long, quick strides - who wouldn't be walking quickly when they were approaching their car and freedom for a little while? -, and didn't even try getting in the car when she hopped in and started it.
...At least, tried to start it.
"Looks like we're walking." she said after mumbling something under her breath, and he shrugged. Not like he cared whether they walk, drive, or even sprint. He could care less, as long as he got out of here.
"I don't mind," he replied in a whisper, smiling softly. "...Hn, Kaiden, have you... ever... thought you were going insane?"
notess;; the ones who are insane are the ones who are fun.

"Have I ever thought I was insane?" Kaiden said, beginning to walk down the dirt road. She looked back at Avie and grinned. "All the time."
Of course, she had said it jokingly, but she meant it quite seriously. Especially when she had sugar. Kaiden thought of the strangest things then, just laying and staring at the cold ceiling of her cabin. She imagined what lightning tasted like, or imagined she was talking to a spirit who shared Kaiden's body with her. At moments like these, Kaisen was sure she was insane. And then she crashed. Her head would hurt and her stomach would do flips and it was like a sugary hangover for hours. And then she would sleep and then she'd wake up and work off the rest of it.
Kaiden glanced over at Avie in the mommy of silence. He seemed as calm and put together as an hour or so ago. Why had that question come out of his mouth? What was he thinking about? The daughter of Zeus adjusted her backpack. She unzipped the smallest pocket, reached in, and pulled out a half empty jolly ranchers bag. She pulled out one of the individually wrapped candies at random. Quickly, she unwrapped it and popped it in her mouth. She chuckled and looked at the wrapper that read "cherry" as shetasted her favorite. Then, she held the bag put to Avie, not wanting to be rude and seeing what his reaction would be.
"Want one?" she asked. "The cherry ones are my favorites."
Once he had made his desicion, Kaiden tossed the plastic bag back into her bag- listening for the crinkle that let her know it hit the bottom, and readjusted the bag over her shoulder with a jump. They continued to walk in silence until Kaoden couldn't stand the silence anymore.
"Do you think you've gone insane sometimes?" she asked.
Kaiden pivoted on her right foot while walking and began walking backwards so she could look at him. This worked for sometime, but unfortunately, turned for the worse. Kaiden tripped and fell back, skidding about three feet from the jog she had been going at. She had stuck out her hands to stop herself and they got skinned, and rocks had found their way into her palms. They were dirty and stinging and bleeding as Kaiden raised them to her eye level to look at them. She bit her lip looking hurt then bust out laughing.
"Help me up?" she asked, smiling at Avie. "Sorry you had to see that, I'm really stupid sometimes."
Notes;; sorry it's been so late... Internet problems and finals do NOT mix XD
